The
origin of canine can be traced back nearly 55 million years ago. However, our
modern day dogs, which have became man's best friend, actually evolved from a
coyote type of dog which has existed about 38 million years ago. Dogs were once
linked to wolves and are dangerous creatures. However, humans began to tame
these creatures until they become dependant on human for food and shelter. The
bond between humans and dogs suddenly became closer.
Humans
now share compassion and love with their dogs and treat them as part of their
family members. Dogs are not only a loyal companion, but also a fun and
intelligent creature. Dogs are special pets – they have more social attachments
to humans and has protective nature against their owner, compared to other animals.
They are also able to sense and share emotions and feelings of their owners.
These qualities make them closer to humans compared to other animals.
Dogs,
like humans, varies in their temperaments and has their own unique
characteristics. They have different physical sizes and temperaments.
Therefore, pet owners can choose their pet dogs according to the needs of pet
owners. The variation of dogs is so huge, that owners can choose to suit their
personal personality needs.
