Schnauzers are divided into three different
breeds, Giant, Miniature and Standard sized. Schnauzers are good hunting and
watchdogs.

Lifespan: 12 to 15 years
Temperament:
Schnauzers are most happy when near its
family. It is a very active dog, and needs to live indoors. Schnauzers are good
and gentle with children and a very good travelling companion. They are also
very smart and obedient dogs. Although they are friendly and good with humans
and other pets, but they are very aggressive towards stray dogs.
Appearance:
Miniature Schnauzer is known by
its whiskers and double coat, which has a hard, thin outer coat and close, soft
undercoat. Although, they have long fur but they shed very little. Therefore, their
double coat requires stripping, to remove dead hair. Their fur is silky and it
requires a lot of grooming. Schnauzers normally can be found in black and
silver, solid black, and also salt and pepper colours.
