Siberian Husky


Siberian Husky are unique dogs which originates from Alaska. They are good sled dogs. They may look huge and heavy, but they are stable and able to run very fast. Their unique characteristics is that although they look fierce, but they are actually very playful and active dogs.

Height: 20 to 24 inches

Weight: 15 to 27 kg

Lifespan: 12 to 15 years

Temperament:
Huskys are very smart and active dogs. They are very alert and make good hunting dogs. Huskys usually live in cold, winter places. So, to rear this breed in Malaysia, they will usually require air condition from time to time, to avoid their hair from excessive shedding. As Husky are huge and active dogs, they will need to have spaces to run and exercise everyday.  They are very obedient and can be disciplined if trained well.

Appearance:
Because it originated in cold climates, Husky have a thicker coat then most other breeds of dog, made up of a dense cashmere-like undercoat and a longer, coarse top coat. Its colours range from a mixture of black, brown and pure white. The Husky’s trademark is a marking on its forehead, which is not found in other breeds. Husky needs special attention on its grooming and health care due to the weather in Malaysia.
